Point of Sale (POS)/ Point of Purchase (POP)

The physical location where a Merchant and a Customer complete Transaction.

How does Point of Sale work?

Traditionally a Customer is physically present at the premises of a Merchant where goods are exchanged for Transaction Settlement. At the Point of Sale, Merchant calculates amount which is due and indicates to Customer a possibility to conclude the Transaction. Nowadays, in order for the Customer to have a possibility of Settling Transaction there can be various scales, scanners, and other new technologies.
