Pin-Codes usually range from four to six digits and are generated by the Issuer through a coding system which makes each PIN unique. Pin-Codes are used to authorise transactions with Payment Cards and in some instances execution of Transfers.
Whenever a Customer signs up for a Payment Card he/she receives a code with which he/she can conduct operations. Pin-Code allows a Customer to transact in POS while entering it in the designated field. As well, they may be generated exceptionally for each transaction and be sent to the Customer where he will need to use the Pin-Code to authorise the Transaction. Customers should always remain cautious about disclosing their Pin-Code information to anyone, including representatives of the Issuer.
