Card Not Present Transaction

Is the process where a Merchant cannot make electronic data capture, but the Customer through an electronic gateway enters it manually by the Merchant. 

How does Card Not Present Transaction work?

Card Not Present Transaction are made where the Customer does not or cannot physically present the card for a Merchant's visual examination at the time that an order is given and payment settled. It's most commonly used for payments made over the Internet, but also mail-order transactions by mail or fax, or over the telephone.
